About Taylor
Hi there, I'm Taylor. I've worked in the mental health field for over 13 years and am passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that may be keeping them stuck. My areas of expertise and interest include relationship and attachment concerns, self-esteem and body image, concerns related to food and eating, trauma, anxiety, depression, abuse, and navigating life's many transitions.
The care I strive to provide comes from a place of deep compassion for the human experience. I believe people make sense within the context of their experiences, and therapy is not about fixing who you are—it's about understanding yourself more fully and creating meaningful change. I work to help clients recognize their strengths, build self-trust, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. Working with me brings realness, empathy, openness, and some (or quite a few) laughs.
I live in the Des Moines area with my fiancé and our sons. I completed my BSW and MSW at the University of Northern Iowa and am dually licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and Addictions Counselor. Outside of work, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, listening to metalcore music, getting outside, being near or in the water, or lifting (very) heavy things. I've always been drawn to activities that challenge me, and that same belief in growth, resilience, and showing up authentically carries into the work I do with clients.
